Watford captain Troy Deeney has disclosed he not ready to return to training this week.

It was announced that premier league clubs are free to start training in groups this week ahead of possible June restart.

Deeney however believed it is unwise and unsafe for football to return when the country is still battlling to kick out coronavirus which has ravaged the country.

The England forward opines that he's not ready to risk the health of his family after claiming his five months old son has been struggling to breath in past few months.

While it has been confirmed his teammates are ready to be back in training on Wednesday, Deeney has emphatically stated that he won't be returning.

"My son is five months and he's had breathing difficulties. I don't want to come home and put him in more danger. You've got to drive in in your own kit, you can't have showers, then drive back in the same dirty kit you've got.

Deeney stressed further he has already lost important people in his life already and he's not ready to put few more people at risk just because of money.

"I've lost my dad, my gran, my granddad... I've more or less everyone that I care about. So that, to me, is more important than a few quid in my back pocket." He said.

Meanwhile it unclear if the club will decide to sanction him, but the PFA has asked the league organizers to provide more details before players will return.
