The recent cult clash in Calabar this few days have been alarming as father of triplet in Calabar municipality Local Government Area was shot dead.
The victim, identified to be Ettah Jeco, was baby sitting one of the babies outside his house at the Doctors’ Quarters, Beebobsco, Calabar Municipality, before his life was terminated. He was shot on the chest while the baby fell from his hands to the ground, crying.
As a result of the baby constant yelling, residents of the area arrived the scene and were shocked to meet the victim dead and the baby on the ground. They helped control his wife who was crying uncontrollably. Security men later evacuated the body of the victim.
Cult related killings in Calabar metropolis have recently been on the rise as an aide to the state governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, was shot and killed in the last couple of days.
There have also been lot of killing in the Calabar south region. The reasons for the awaken cult clash in the state is yet to be discovered.
